The inimitable Charles Portney has a bumper crop of Pepino Dulce plants he grew for us to sell at our April meeting. Alas, no meeting; but no one told the Pepinos so they are still growing their little hearts out.
It you haven’t tried these guys, they are fantastically easy to bring to harvest and delicious. Being in the same family as tomatoes and eggplants, they are best supported by the same sort of cages, though they don’t get much taller than 3′. They are like beautiful (purple streaked) small sweet melons.
We are suggesting a donation of $1 which you can pay here:
Then just zip me an email at [email protected] and we will arrange for you to pick up your plant(s) in a social distant way. There may be a small time lag (like Amazon!) as we assess interest and Charlie gets the plants to me.
