Description
Colin Clayton says:
“Every year I grow 1’000s of rhubarb seedlings trying to find better types – bigger, redder, more disease resistant etc. I select promising types for evaluation, planting them out in rows. The next year most are discarded as the bar is now so high. They have to be outstanding for me to bother persevering with. The next pick is planted out for another year, and the process is repeated. By the 4th or 5th year I have many outstanding clones – in fact, far too many to keep.
What to do with them? I have been collecting the seed to grow for my own stock. I now have some surplus seed of these outstanding clones and can offer it to my customers. I have named it ‘BEST OF THE BEST’. There are no photos of it, as every plant will be slightly different. You will be able to grow some fantastic plants and prize winners here!”
