Golden Pepino Dulce — can be grown in pots or in the ground

The flesh  is moderately sweet, refreshing and juicy with a taste and aroma similar to a combination of cantaloupe and honeydew melon. The skin has lovely purple stripes as it matures and is ripe when it starts to get a golden color and give extremely slightly when gently squeezed. It fruits from late Spring into the early to mid-winter months. Plants typically last 3-5 years and can be propagated during that time.
